A Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
The Laurels of Kent is a 153-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center operated by Ciena Healthcare. Located in the quaint town of Lowell, Michigan, we host both short-term and long-term guests at our facility, where we provide medical, social and emotional care that optimizes each guest’s independence and enjoyment of life.
The Laurels is situated in a comfortable country setting with easy access to I-96, M-21 and the Grand Rapids hospitals. Although the community is surrounded by farmland, Lowell is very active with multiple events, festivals, shopping, churches, parks, restaurants, a library, senior center and fair grounds.
What brings it all together is our conviction that each guest deserves our compassion, respect and friendship. It's The Laurel Way of Caring, and we do it every day.
We provide a complete range of services for patients that are unable to return home after a hospitalization. Our programs provide a safe transition from hospital to home with a depth of services that typically can not be provided through home health care or by family members.

Extended and long-term care stays are appropriate for individuals that require greater levels of care and support than can be provided at home or within an independent living setting. Our guests typically need assistance with their daily activities due to physical and/or cognitive limitations.
